I’ve been searching diligently and at long last, a couple of days ago, it looks like (perhaps the beginning of?) the third wave of Avengers: Infinity War Character Cars is starting to roll out. Still no Iron Spider or “Mysterious Hero” or whatever, but we do have Hulkbuster 2.0, Black Widow, and a re-release of Black Panther for what it’s worth.
Hulkbuster 2.0 is granted with the First Appearance designation, but to be honest, it’s not that much different and the structure and paint job are essentially the same as the older version. I guess the most noticeable difference is how the face is sort of inset on the head. I got mine in the mail yesterday and I’ll bust it open and get to know it a little better once I snap some photos.
As for Black Widow, she does not sport the First Appearance blurb on her packaging, so that tells us the underlying mold has not been changed from previous versions. Her color scheme has been drastically altered though, featuring black and green this time around for a more subdued appearance. Mine should be coming in the mail either tomorrow or Thursday, so I’ll get a better look at her then.
And finally we have a re-issued Black Panther as he appeared in his release alongside Black Panther from earlier in the year. I don’t think there are any differences, but I could be wrong. However, I’ll wait ’til I spot it in a store judging from what I’ve seen so far. Still, I know some people had problems with the release of Black Panther and Killmonger in their area so this’ll be a good chance to snatch up one of ’em at least.
As for what’s left on the Infinity War pamphlet, well, your guess is as good as mine. I would guess (hope?) that we’ll be seeing them soon, especially since Infinity War hype has largely died down with it being nearly 2 months since the film’s release. (Of course we didn’t get Vulture into well on into the Ragnarok cars so…)
As always please please please clue me in to any new info! Oh and just to clarify, I have not seen any of these 3 in stores yet, I just jumpy and decided to order them anyway! Stay tuned; I’ll crack both new ones open in a few days time for a closer look.
