MANTIS!

MANTIS!

I finally got her! Paid out the nose for the same thing no doubt, but got her! It’ll be interesting to see how rare her and Nebula really are when all is said and done.

Mantis

Now the Guardians of the Galaxy subset of Character Cars is quite large:

  • Star-Lord
  • Gamora
  • Drax (the Destroyer)
  • Rocket Raccoon (Vol. 1)
  • Rocket Raccoon (Vol. 2)
  • Rocket Raccoon (Battle-Damaged)
  • Groot
  • Go-Kart Groot
  • Go-Kart Groot> (Exclusive “Green”)
  • Yondu (All-Terrain Back Wheels) (Probably the “correct,” intended variant.)
  • Yondu (Smooth Back Wheels) (Likely the error.)
  • Nebula
  • Mantis
  • Groot Hauler (I know I know, may seem like a stretch but it’s officially labeled as “character car.”>)

Doesn’t look like we’ll be getting Star-Lord’s father (Ego?) despite what I presume will be a bigger part in Vol. 2 than probably Nebula and Mantis combined – they did get Kurt Russel for the role after all. And then of course no villains…could’ve very easily done a Ronan car back when the first film dropped.

Anyway, stick around. Got some more stuff I’ma try to bang out this evening and into the late night!

NEW Character Cars CONFIRMED! – Part 2: Marvel

In the last post I clued you into the best glimpse we have so far of DCU’s Character Car future. Admittedly it was a little messy and convoluted, I just wanted to put it out there the way I stumbled across it so that my questions and ponderings made some sense.

About a day later though, I found out something much more straightforward from Marvel’s side of the world. It all started with an old car in new packaging – Gamora was re-released under the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” banner:

Gamora

Ok, same old Gamora, right? Right! But let’s flip it over…

Gamora - Back

Looks like Nebula and Mantis are coming our way! I actually started to wonder about these 2 specifically ever since the Guardians 2 trailer specifically flashed “Mantis” and “Nebula” onscreen along with other main characters’ names. The artwork doesn’t give us much to go on yet except for purple and green. Still, I’m excited, and even though they ain’t available just yet, I’m keeping my eyes open!
